- Ranchi College is the only College which has Senior Division (Boys), Senior Wing (Girls) in Army and Boys Air wing.
- Fourteen (14) Cadets attended Republic Day Camp, New Delhi and among them two cadets were declared Best Cadet in 2004 & 2005 in Bihar and Jharkhand Directorate.
- Two cadets attend All India Para jumping camp held at Para Training School Agra and declared having excellent grading.
- 28 cadets attended National Integration Camp held at Mumbai, Rajasthan, New Delhi, Nagaland and Port Blair.
- One cadet attended Indian Military Academy attachment camp held at Dehradoon and declared Best Cadet in all over the country.
- Three cadets attended All India Basic / Advanced courses in mountaineering expedition held at Uttarkashi & Manali.
- More than 50 cadets of NCC of this college joined Army and Air Force in different army units of our country.
- Two cadets selected for “Thal Sainik” Camp held at New Delhi.
- Two cadets visited foreign countries under Youth Exchange Program of NCC.
- Jharkhand Police Force went on strike paralyzing total traffic of Ranchi City. Seventy (70) NCC cadets of Ranchi College take over the charge of Traffic control of Ranchi city winning laurels from the Public, DGP and District Administration. On this occasion 12 (Twelve) cadets received Silver Medal by local MLA C.P. Singh.
- Ranchi College family took out a silent procession with NCC cadets of the college against regular Band and Chakka Jam in Ranchi after the creation of Jharkhand.
- Ranchi College is the first college in the country to take out a Vijay Diwas procession of the students, Teachers and Non-teaching staff of the college along with Ncc cadets of the college after the Kargil War.
- Creation of a Task Force of NCC Cadets for “DISASTER Management”.

- Ranchi College, (Men and Women) Hockey Teams are Runners up and Winners respectively in the Ranchi University Inter-College Hockey Tournament.
- Ranchi College Men Football Team is the Runners-up in the Ranchi University Inter-College Football Tournament.
- Ranchi College Women Football Team is the champions in the Ranchi University Inter-College (W) Football Tournament.
- Ranchi College (Men) Kabbadi Team is the champion of the Ranchi University Inter-College Kabbadi Team.
- Ranchi College Men Volleyball Team is the Runners-up in the Ranchi University Inter-College Volleyball Tournament.
- Ranchi College Women Volleyball team is the champion in the R.U. Inter-College Women’s Volleyball tournament.
- Seven (07) girl students of Ranchi College, Ranchi has represented the R.U. (Women) team in the Inter-University (W) Hockey tournament 2004.

- Ranchi College Hockey (M) team being the R. U. Champion has gone to New Delhi to participate in the “Nehru Gold Cup Hockey” tournament.
- 18 (Eighteen)-Ranchi college students represented Ranchi University in the Inter University Cricket tournament.
- 12 Volleyball players (M) have represented RU in the Inter University volleyball (M) tournament.
- 08 (Eight) girl students of the College has represented R. U. in the Inter-University Volleyball (W) Tournament.
- 05 (Five) girl students of the College have represented Ranchi University Volleyball (W) Team in the Chancellor’s Trophy and was Winner.

Research
Research is a very significant activity in the college. A majority of the teachers are engaged in research. The Faculty members have published about 200 books and 500 papers which reflect their interest to promote academic affairs and provide a base for the students. They regularly participate in departmental, state, national, and international seminars. Most of them are also engaged in active research.
